Just a thought but would putting the forum address in the guild Motd with a message of sorts to direct new guild members to visit here be possible. I have been talking with some of the newer guild members and most of them didn't know this existed.
Seeing as how there is info like Uni's chanter quests and spell research and class info for most classes here, maybe new guild members could be directed to add this to their favourites list so they have a point of reference if they need help and noone else is online.

Could always just make it a requirement that new starters sign up as part of the recruitment process (slightly extreme, I know)

Perhaps, but it would also show a willing to participate and get involved which would be good. I just like the idea of everyone getting a chance to throw their ideas in without having to be in game. The in game e-mail is all good and well, but it's down so often and you have to be in game to view it. This can be viewed from anywhere with a web browser and *touch wood* seems to be pretty reliable. Just my two copper's worth

i think thats a great idea chil, not really extreme .I can think of some worse things guilds have got peeps to do in order to join. This would just be them showing that they really are interested in be part of the guild and joining in and not just being in a guild to get what they can out of it. I think Arks point is also very valid ,speaking for us we have some things going on making it hard for us to be in game at the moment but....We try to keep in touch and daily both check out what you have all been up too We hoping to be back properly soon (cant wait)

Yup a good idea and not as extreme as it may seem. We can maybe when recruiting a new member mention that it would be a good idea but not an obligation to sign up to Forum as part of recruitment.
